Life has gotten crazy. School is in full swing that is for sure! The kids have done very well adjusting, a few bumps here or there, but we are hanging in there. It has been a busy few weeks and I have definitely had moments where I am mourning the end of summer, enjoying a little cooler weather, for running, felt like I have failed at everything, dropped a few balls while juggling everyone’s new schedules and school “stuff”, but we are surviving. We endured a week without Tim, as he traveled all last week, soccer is keeping us busy, but the boys are definitely enjoying themselves and they are doing great, I couldn’t be more proud of them and the effort they are putting forth! Layla is adjusting to a new school and hopefully the glimpses of happiness amongst the tears and the good word from her teachers on her participation means she will soon emerge from her shell and enjoy herself. I am sure someday I will be wishing for this shell of hers to stay put, but for now I just want her to realize that she CAN have fun at new things! Emerson and I are enjoying our new schedule together, some days it is just us, and we jog and play at the park and do errands and others its the girls, and her and Layla get to strengthen the sister bond!
So that in a nut shell has been our September so far!
Here are some of the moments I have been grateful for:
Morning Bus! I miss the days of driving kiddos to school, but it definitely opens up my morning schedule a bit and it is good for the kids to be flexible.
Grateful that their nana makes it a tradition to see the kindergartener off to school!
Bee Bop Clubhouse!
The first week didn’t go as planned, the wee one wasn’t enjoying herself as I thought she would. She had her mind set on the big balls on the table not the designated toys/instruments for the class! Meltdown mode for sure! But this week was much better! Smiles and participation=Fun for all!
I have so much to be grateful for!
